Born and raised in a rural fishing village in Japan, Kentaro Yoshida first made his way to Australia to immerse himself in studying English. But what was supposed to be a ten-month stint eventually turned into a long-term plan, as he quickly fell in love with the Aussie lifestyle. Now, Kentaro is making waves with his quirky, humour-filled art.

Inspired by his glass-artist mother and the Japanese comics that ruled his childhood, Kentaro creates the kind of work that makes you look twice. Just don't be fooled by the skeletal figures and pastel-coloured beach vibes; Kentaro's art contains hidden meaning and a gateway to connect to those around him.

Skilled with traditional and digital mediums, Kentaro has worked with a range of local and international brands. From collaborating with Bonds, Apple, and Levi's, he's even found himself creating artwork for rock-band, Blink-182.
